I recently completed an off-site project promoting the collections, art and communities at the museum. The project was based in a disused shop next door next to the museum in collaboration with two fantastic artists Louise Short and Alice Forward . We are working on building the museum as a space for culture, engagement and enterprise.
Ceredigion Museum is a much-loved Aberystwyth attraction, which attracts over 30,000 visitors each year and runs services throughout the county. Last year, our 40th anniversary, the museum undertook a community consultation and evaluation project to devise plans to improve our access services and sustainability.
These plans include a new entrance combined with the Tourist Information Centre, refreshed displays, better storage, new education facilities and stronger community links.
