The Bideford Black show has opened at the Burton – brilliant!

I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the installation and the works at the Burton. It looks fantastic – each work has its own identity and contributes to the sense of the whole. A coastal walk to the seam where the pigment is found yesterday rounded off a good (but exhausting) weekend.
Thank you to the artists, the team at the Burton and to Claire Gulliver for being instrumental in making it happen, and to Sue Thomas and Julian Smith for being there to support me.
Now I’ve had some sleep, I want to go back and spend some decent time with the works. I will soon. It’s definitely worth a pilgrimage to North Devon.

I'm an artist and also commission contemporary art in unusual locations. As a producer, I fundraise, curate, project manage and deliver projects. I'm also a writer and film-maker.
